IN.SEK Design continues their mission of purposeful play, by adding quartz crystal to the same specialty blend concrete, the Excavation Series is born.
In addition to the traditional HEX, SQR and TRI boxes, IN.SEK has scaled up creating these dramatic sculptures which make beautiful side tables. Each unique casting in this series explores a different conceptual idea in form or the removal thereof. Through cavernous openings and cracks light is allowed to penetrate these objects and illuminate the Quartz crystal caverns inside. R / 101 explores the idea of grotto and tunnel space, while R / 102 explores the concept of a hollowed cantilever.
